the Information Services Team, the Application Analyst role is to
plan, design, implement, test, launch and support efficient
information systems and applications in integrated support of core
organizational functions including business and patient care
processes in one or more ancillary and patient care services areas.
The Applications Analyst uses project management methodology and
tools to manage projects. This individual will apply proven
communication, analytical and problem- solving skills to help
identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to
maximize quality patient care and efficient customer service. The
Application Analyst will be assigned to one of the following
service areas:**Service Area: Surgery**The Application Analyst will
collaborate with the service area subject matter experts in best
practice design, workflow analysis and change process,
implementation, integration, training, and support of the EHR
applications used in Surgical and Materials Management service
areas. This individual will use knowledge, experience and skills
sets related to the intraoperative process, anesthesia process,
supply chain management, and financial impact. The scope includes
all service areas including the OR, GI Lab, Anesthesia both in the
OR and in areas outside the OR. This individual will collaborate
closely with other areas of the organization to achieve best
practice functionality for purchasing, inventory management,
service and supply charging and integration with Patient
Accounting, General Financial, and Clinical areas of the
organization.**Service Area:****Revenue Cycle / Home Health**The
Application Analyst will support EHR applications used in Revenue
Cycle including Patient Accounting, Claims, Registration, and
Scheduling in the acute, home health, and ambulatory environments.
This individual will have a strong role in the implementation of
Home Health systems to ensure timely and efficient completion of
registration, clinical documentation and regulatory billing
documents to support the documentation and billing process. This
individual will use knowledge, experience and skills sets related
to the general cycle of collecting registration data, processing
charges, claims and collections. This individual may interact as a
team member of the Patient Accounting department and also with the
clinical areas in the acute, ambulatory, and home care environments
to implement and support a system of efficient billing process with
maximized collections and adherence to regulatory
requirements.**Service Area:****A** **ncillary and Clinical
Support**The Application Analyst will support HER applications used
in the Ancillary and Support departments including but not limited
to Imaging, Laboratory, PT, PT, SP, Risk Management, Performance
Improvement and Case Management. This individual will have a strong
role in the implementation of support applications that are fully
integrated with the EHR providing efficiencies and best practice
for that area. This individual will collaborate with department
subject matter experts to ensure thoughtful, efficient workflows
that enhance and support department functions providing quality
outcomes.**Service Areas:****A** **mbulatory Clinics/ Physician
Practice**The Application Analyst will support applications used in
the Ambulatory Clinic and Physician Practices. This individual will
have a strong role in the implementation of ambulatory software
integrated with the acute environment in the new Meditech Expanse
environment. This individual will collaborate with department
subject matter experts to ensure thoughtful, efficient workflows
that enhance and support department functions providing quality
outcomes.**Job Requirements****M** **inimum Education Requirement
:**Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in the area of
a clinical field, business, or computer related field is highly
desired. Experience in lieu of education may be
considered.**b.Minimum Experience Requirement :**A minimum of two
years Information Services experience in a hospital or ambulatory
setting working with clinical applications or comparable work
setting. Project management including use of planning, workflow
analysis, consensus building, testing, training, validation
testing, go live planning and support. Strong analytic reasoning
and troubleshooting skills. Meditech Expanse Ambulatory experience
preferred.**c.Minimum License Requirement :**Current CA Driver`s
license. Must be able to commute to various campuses or physician
