Job Details The Accounting Manager will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting operations, overseeing a team of 5 professionals, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep knowledge of accounting principles, strong operational acumen, and experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment—preferably within the life sciences or a related industry. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP. Supervise and mentor a team of 5 accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support scalability. Manage the general ledger and oversee reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts. Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, and external auditors to support budgeting, compliance, and audit processes. Ensure the integrity of financial systems and data within NetSuite. Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and processes to drive efficiency. Participate in strategic finance projects, including process automation and acquisition integration (if applicable). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred. 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks. Proven experience working in a high-growth environment, preferably in the life sciences, biotech, or healthcare sector. Hands-on experience with NetSuite is required. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a dynamic setting. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
