Job Description Job Description Title: Certified Payroll Specialist / Payroll Administrator Pay: $32-$34/hour for temp-to-hire roles Key Responsibilities: Process certified payroll for public works and prevailing wage projects. Ensure compliance with California prevailing wage laws and union agreements . Handle multi-state payroll , deductions, garnishments, and benefits. Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports and tax filings. Use payroll systems like ADP Workforce Now . Communicate with supervisors to resolve time reporting discrepancies. Maintain personnel files and assist with onboarding. Skills & Qualifications: Experience in construction payroll and certified payroll reporting. Knowledge of prevailing wage law. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with payroll software (ADP, Sage preferred).
