Job Description:

The Construction Junior Estimator is responsible for preparing preliminary budgets, milestone cost estimates, and final bid proposals for various types of commercial & multifamily construction projects in San Diego. Will build effective relationships with team members, internal and external customers, suppliers, and subcontractors. You will oversee project teams and will participate in business development and client engagement. Client Details Our client is a San Diego-based GC with multiple multi-family and commercial projects in the San Diego Area. Established a great reputation primarily focusing on multifamily and commercial projects, and they have a nice back log of projects and a great company culture that values employees. They are looking to add a Building and Construction Junior Estimator to their team in Carlsbad. Description Solicit and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients Prepare and submit proposals, within time-frame and following up until closed Facilitate an effective hand-off to the project manager Monitor budgets throughout the construction process Evaluate and prepare pricing for change orders. Update & maintain accurate pipeline reports, track leads, bookings, forecasting, reporting Build out a small department of other estimating professionals Flexible enough to handle some project management duties Ability to lead from the front Utilize technology to actualize on effective project and cost delivery Profile Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields preferred but not required 2-3 years experience with projects with a budget of $5M Candidate required to have an excellent track record as an estimator Candidates looking to progress their careers and fast track into a senior leadership role Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software such as timberline Team player to work with various individuals from project start to finish Job Offer Building and Construction Junior Estimator in Carlsbad Competitive base salary ($90-120k) depending on experience Annual bonus Full benefits package and 401(k) Extensive paid time off Growth and career advancement opportunities Great opportunity in San Diego with a full service general contractor MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
