full-time, on-site role for a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Nurse
Practitioner or Physician Assistant located in Long Beach, CA. The
role involves conducting thorough patient assessments, developing
and monitoring individualized treatment plans, and prescribing
appropriate medications as part of addiction recovery care.
Responsibilities also include providing counseling and support to
patients, coordinating with a multidisciplinary care team, and
ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory guidelines.
Additionally, the professional will participate in monitoring
patient progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment
plans to achieve optimal outcomes. Qualifications Experience and
knowledge in substance use disorders, addiction medicine, and
treatment approaches Skills in patient assessment, treatment
planning, and management of addiction recovery care Proficiency in
prescribing medications, including medication-assisted treatments
(MAT), with appropriate certifications Strong communication and
counseling abilities to support patients in recovery Experience
collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive
care Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant
(PA) in California Familiarity with regulatory compliance and
documentation standards in healthcare Compassionate approach and
commitment to patient-centered care Prior experience in behavioral
health or addiction recovery settings is highly desirable Master’s
degree in Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, or an equivalent
field
