As a Pet Groomer, you will groom dogs of different breeds and coat types, according to breed-specific standards, creative grooming styles, and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Brush and detangle or remove matted fur Bathe dogs and dry coat (when necessary) Execute a variety of techniques and style requests Examine for skin conditions Ensure the safety of dogs at all times Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners Qualifications 4 YEARS OR MORE as a dog groomer Comfortable working with anxious dogs Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and clients Strong attention to detail
