Job Description Job Description Job Title: EVS Aide - Janitor Job Description This position is based in Apple Valley and entails the responsibility for cleaning and maintaining various areas within a hospital setting. You will be tasked with cleaning rooms after patient discharges, cleaning bathrooms, and receiving training on proper floor care techniques, including stripping, buffing, and waxing. The role also involves collaborating with nurses and working in an environment where exposure to blood, urine, and vomit is possible. Responsibilities Clean and maintain patient rooms, including trash removal, linen cleaning, floor mopping, and laundry tasks. Perform janitorial duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting. Clean common areas including lobbies, elevators, and hallways. Read and complete work orders for tasks like trash removal and spill requests. Provide excellent customer service in all interactions. Essential Skills Housekeeping and janitorial experience. Customer service oriented. Strong English speaking skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications One year of high volume experience in environments such as hospitals, hotels, schools, office buildings, sports arenas, or amusement parks is preferred but not required. Military, barista, or general labor experience can be beneficial. Experience with environmental services and sanitation preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is set within the main hospital, medical office buildings, and conference center, with a focus on Tower 1 and 2 where the ER, surgical suites, food service, and patient rooms are located. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive approach, as keeping busy is essential. The department operates at a high pace, requiring individuals who are self-motivated and committed to maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Apple Valley, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
