Job Description:
A company is looking for a Senior Underwriting Counsel who
evaluates risk and determines insurability of high-liability and
high-risk transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate risk and exposures on high liability and high-risk
transactions to determine insurability
Communicate underwriting solutions to agents, direct offices, and
counsel
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rate
manuals while managing complex underwriting
Required Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws affecting title
insurance and real property
At least ten years of experience working in the real property field
as an attorney
Ability to fashion creative resolutions to complex issues
Strong organizational skills and initiative
Experience in cultivating strong relationships with customers and
team members
