A top civil litigation firm seeks a Paralegal with civil litigation defense experience, ideally with Tort Defense experience to work on-site in Irvine Job Details Job Details We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal-Civil Lit(Tort Defense) to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of cases and to be part of a team that is committed to delivering high-quality legal services. The successful candidate will play an integral role in managing the day-to-day operations of our civil litigation defense team. Responsibilities As a Permanent Paralegal-Civil Lit(Tort Defense), you will be responsible for: 1. Assisting attorneys in the preparation and filing of pleadings, motions and briefs. 2. Managing and organizing large volumes of complex case-related documents. 3. Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda. 4. Coordinating and managing discovery, including document production and review. 5. Assisting with trial preparation, including witness preparation and the preparation of trial exhibits. 6. Coordinating and communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. 7. Maintaining case calendars and tracking deadlines. 8. Providing litigation support during trials and hearings. Qualifications The ideal candidate for this role will have: 1. A minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience, preferably in civil litigation defense. 2. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program and or bachelor's degree 3. Extensive experience in litigation support, including managing electronic discovery, preparing for trial, and managing case files. 4. Strong knowledge of civil procedure and court rules. 5. Excellent research and writing skills. 6. Proficiency in using legal research platforms and litigation support software. 7. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. 8. The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and to communicate with clients and opposing counsel in a professional manner. 10.
