Growth - Turning Specialty- Team Culture - Lights Out Manufacturing -This growing company, located in Covina, CA, was founded in 1978, machining a wide variety of sophisticated parts serving individuals with remote control hobbies. Their 12 person operation has 9 different machines, including multiple robots that continue running the machine after the shop is closed. This shop maintains low turn over making it very attractive for aspiring machinists of all levels (only those that are eager -about growth have potential to be part of the team). - -In this role, you will see parts from cradle to grave while further developing your programming skills at the machine. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about taking ownership of their responsibility within the shop and learning multiple parts of the business. - -Working hours are on a 1st shift (5 AM - 1:30 PM M-F) while maintaining -a strong work life balance. - -The strong benefits package includes PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k with matching, and more.

• Set up and operate lathe and other machines as needed
• Perform 1st article inspection
• Troubleshoot problems with the machine or program
• Interpret blue prints
• Complete daily documentation
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Maintain close tolerances
  
  • Strong experience setting up and operating CNC lathe, swiss, and manual machines (mills are a plus!)
  • Experience using Fanuc controls and G-code
  • Experience programming at the machine
  • Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, indicators, and the like)
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints
