Job Description:
A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist II to
support the prior authorization request process for healthcare
services.
Key Responsibilities
Aids the utilization management team by tracking and documenting
authorizations and referrals according to policies
Researches and documents necessary medical information for
authorization reviews to assist clinical reviewers
Verifies member insurance coverage and updates authorization
requests in the utilization management system
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
1 - 2 years of related experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred
