Job Description:
A company is looking for a Mortgage Senior Underwriter
responsible for underwriting mortgage loans to ensure compliance
with investor and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite FHA, VA, and conventional mortgage loans according to
investor guidelines
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and resolve
post-closing issues
Perform risk assessments of credit and collateral to maintain loan
saleability
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience in mortgage
underwriting
2 years of relevant work experience plus 4-6 years of mortgage
underwriting experience
Direct Endorsement (DE) or LAPP approval preferred
Thorough knowledge of credit risk and automated underwriting
systems (DU/LP)
Understanding of conforming and non-conforming guidelines
